Can I take PreCardix® if I also have other health conditions?

PreCardix® clinical trials were conducted on a healthy population who were not on any type of medication and had no other health conditions other than mild-moderately elevated blood pressure. Individuals with pre-existing medical conditions should speak with their health care provider before introducing PreCardix® to ensure safety and wellbeing. Similarly, individuals who are on any medications or supplements should be closely monitored by their primary health care provider before introducing PreCardix®.

Share the PreCardix® product monograph with your health care provider who can advise you on drug interactions, contra-indications and other factors related to your health to help determine if PreCardix® is appropriate for you.

PreCardix® has not been studied in individuals with a history of angioedema related to the previous use of ACE inhibitors and should be avoided in this population. PreCardix® has not been studied in individuals who have renal artery stenosis and should be avoided in this population based on the known contraindication with pharmaceutical ACE inhibitor medication. Individuals who have an allergy to shellfish should not take PreCardix®.
